Frequently Asked Questions
Can the URL be on our company domain name? Can I have a special domain name just for my reservation site?
Subdomain of Current Site (arctic.yourcompany.com)
Yes, you can have your copy of Arctic Reservations accessible on your own domain name. For example, http://arctic.yourcompany.com/.
Please note that it must be a subdomain (you cannot have yourcompany.com/arctic/). In addition, with this option, you can no longer use the SSL connection the Arctic Reservations provides for dealing with credit cards, etc. Instead, you must pay an additional fee of $300 per year to receive a security certificate for the domain that you intend to use. Finally, in order to achieve this, you need to have access to your DNS server for your domain name. This can usually be accomplished by contacting your hosting company or domain registration company.
Specific Domain (myreservationsite.com)
You may also choose to have a domain name devoted to your installation of Arctic Reservations. We will set this up for you and maintain the subscription, but this requires a yearly fee of $450 to register the domain and get a SSL security certificate for your domain name.
